Lise Watier

Lise Watier's own brand heritage, as told through her company: she launched her namesake cosmetics line in Montreal in 1972 after years hosting a women's television program, where the makeup she wore for the camera sparked her interest in the industry. She led the company until 2013 and was made an Officer of the Order of Canada for her contribution to Quebec business. The brand now operates as part of Groupe Marcelle Inc., which its president describes as having "always prioritized the Canadian market" over aggressive export expansion.
