Blume's own "Our Story" page is written in the founders' voices: "Growing up, Taran and Bunny, struggled with acne and sensitive skin. We tried countless products, wasted money, and nothing seemed to work... Our breakthrough came when we discovered the power of all-natural ingredients in our routine, like those in our Meltdown oil... We want everyone to enjoy clear skin without compromise."

The Vancouver-based sisters started at farmers' markets in 2016 selling organic period products, evolved that into a subscription box called Ellebox, then relaunched as Blume in 2018. It's now sold in Sephora Canada and 1,400+ Ulta stores, serving over 500,000 customers.
